Coffee and Sandwich ( Within the grocery compound inside BENS )

For those who hangout a lot in Publika area you should know the groceries in UG level until the BIG group.
There is a Plan B cafe there next to Royce chocolate which served rather good coffee with friendly barristers. Is a good place for chatting or even meetings and brain storming sessions. I used to go down there with my boss for brainstorming sessions, good coffee does help the brain to be more creative. =P

Kapitti Freddo
( Nice latte with fragrant vanilla ice cream)
I personally like this a lot.. Yums..
Cost only RM 18

For those who love sandwiches,  there is a shop next to Royce too known as "B' Wiched" they served a variety of different sandwiches from Egg Mayo to meaty sandwich at an affordable price.

 Beef Sandwich
( It's yummy, however a little bit hard to eat as the bread is very hard and it will be rather messy eating it. So girls if you plan to be really gentle while eating in front of your lover do not order this )

Salmon Sumo
(Sesame and nuts bread with smoke salmon )
This is good too a healthy sandwich I reckon

Cheers =)

BEAST @ Intermark

On Christmas eve, I've decided to go and try out the BEAST by BIG's group in Intermark, Ampang.
They had only 2 Christmas set meals on that day ranging from RM180 & RM 280 per pax.
However, it was rather a disappointment to me as the food did not exactly taste that awesome  = (
The restaurant allows smoking inside, so it was rather stuffy for me and I wasn't too comfortable with it.

The Christmas sets came in started > soup > main course > dessert.

Cold Dish
( I keep biting on salt pieces)

 Pumpkin Soup
(It was rather watery, with the price I'm paying I was hoping to get better quality soup than this )

 Bread
( Their bread is rather good, crunchy on the outside while inside is hot and soft )

 Beef
Served with potatoes and cabbage with nuts
( BEAST is suppose to be famous for their steak, to my taste buds is normal )

 Cod Fish
Served with baby corn, chili, cabbage with walnuts
( It was rather fishy after a little while )

Dessert
Pavlova served with chocolates and berries
( I did not really like it, as it wasn't that good )

Overall, I'm not really satisfied with the food here maybe because it was during Christmas and they only have 2 sets for me to choose =(

Cheers =)

That Latte Place - Persiaran Ritchie, Ampang

Decided to go and have a try for "That Latte Place" nearby Ampang area. Its inside the Yayasan Seni.
It's a nice and cooling place to hang out in the morning, however, there is a lot of people so it you are planning to sit down and read a book while sipping on your coffee is not a very good idea :(

Is better to go early in the morning before the sun is out in its full strength, so that you can still feel the cooling morning breeze. Not too pricey place for  morning breakfast.

 The place with trees and greenery.

The tables are rather small so you have to bear with it :)

 Breakfast set
( Things are not too oily so it good)

 Egg Benedict
(Their signature dish here, not bad I can say)

  Ze Latte

For those who are looking out for a different environment for a good breakfast should come and have a try here.

Cheers =)

Tous Les Jours ( Saturday's brunch before shopping)

Its Saturday and Christmas is round the corner. This song "It's the most wonderful time of the year" keep ringing in my ears. Christmas a time for gifts, presents and shopping, the air is filled with peaceful Christmas carols that I most anticipate every years =)

Today I went for breakfast in Tous Les Jours Wolo, in Bukit Bintang.  From the outside view it looks amazing, walking inside the building gives me a good throwback scene while I was in Europe.

However, my friends and me are rather disappointed with the service provided at the cafe, the waiters are too new and they are not train well. We asked for plain water like 5 times, they keep forgetting and the waiters are rather confused with customer's order. So I think TLJ really need to give proper training to customers. My friend and me even saw flies round the pastries as it was not covered. So is a little unhygienic.

We wanted to order the egg benedict set, to our surprise they told us too many customers ordered that we ran out of the set =( this is so disappointing,  if you plan to open your cafe in the middle of the busy KL city please kindly prepare more ingredients so that you don't have to tell your customers I ran out of this and that.
The lovely bricks feels like European castle with the simple steel chandelier feels like some forsaken English castle.

The view from the second floor of the cafe

Bread and pastries all over the cafe, they look tempting don't they =P

I've personally tried the almond and custard pastries in Bangsar it's good

Portebello mushroom sandwich ( Not up to expectations)

The TLJ breakfast (Not really good) =(

Coffee ( With no art ) Haizzz

Overall, the Bangar TLJ is better than the Bukit Bintang branch although the decorations and place looks nicer.

Cheers =)

Kame Sushi ( Japanese Sushi Dining )

Weekends passes-by swiftly = (
Sunday night I tried Kame Sushi that is located in Sri Hartamas. The chef is a Japanese guy his nickname is suppose to be "Turtle" << that's what I heard. Kame sushi is famous for its sushi and is served as its main course.

We sat by the sushi bar to have a close look at the chef's slicing skills for all the sashimi, he is pretty good =)
They have no menu, but they have the kaiseki set ranging from RM150 - RM250 per person.
Kaiseki set is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner, usually the chef will set its own menu on his preference. So make sure you eat everything =)

Starter : Potato Onion salad with shrimps

Next : Steam hot fish paste with shrimps

Sahimi set (Squid, prawn, tuna, yellow fin tuna)
The seafood is really fresh with good wasabi roots

Steam radish with bean paste
I think is something like what you have if you go on a full french meal, this acts to help you clean your taste buds :)

Deep fried tempura Oysters

Grill Cod Fish 'Slurps'

Sushi platter ( main course)
Everything is so fresh

Refreshing hot brown rice tea

Lastly, an orange to neutralize your body :)

I would return back to this place for good sushi :)

Cheers =)

Podgy and The Banker ( On a Sunday's brunch )

Here comes weekends, the favorite days for me in a week =) I get to sleep and enjoy dating my cozy bed on a lazy day. Today I tried Podgy and The Banker in Sri Hartamas, but it was not so good as I thought :(

Omelette with beef bacon & salad

The ambiance of the place was not really good, my friends and me have to talk so loud and we could barely hear each other because of the loud echo inside the cafe. Not much decorations in the cafe, food was normal anyone who cooks constantly can make the above (pic). So overall, there are still many other cafes outside, I would not recommend to come back here unless you have tried all others :)

Cheers =)

When Selangor is a holiday and I'm in KL working =(

Yesterday 11.12.13 is a public holiday to those who work in Selangor state because of the Sultan's birthday and sadly I'm working in KL so I got no holiday :( seeing my friends having holiday going around for high tea yesterday was so demotivating to me, I just don't feel like working at all. However, I keep asking my friend why holiday in Selangor only and not in KL, she told me : "Well, Sultan's mother was on the way rushing to the KL hospital actually to deliver the sultan, however, she could no longer bear the pain so she decided to give birth in the hospital in Selangor" hahaha... my answer was like "Why la, sultan are you so eager to come out and see the world ??? If you would have just be patient and waited, I would get my holiday too"

After work yesterday, my colleague brought me for beef noodles cause we wanted something nice and not too pricey =) So yeah we went to this Taiwanese Beef Noodle shop in PJ for the above beef noodles, its reasonable and tasty. The beef is cooked well, not too hard and the soup based is lovely. The noodles only cost like RM 9 so is really affordable :)

A memorable 11.12.13 for me :)

I welcome myself to the world of blogging :) since is 11.12.13, my friend told me this only happens once in every 90 years so I've decided to start doing something which I've not done. Well, if what my friend say is true, how many 90 years in life do we have ?? I don't even know if I could have the luxury of living up to 70 years old. With the very heavy pollution we have on earth, the extra work life stress, the unbalance lifestyle of more work less rest, money issues (government tax increase, food prices increase everything increasing except salary) is really hard to be able to live long. :( Aiksss... that's our life now.

However, I always believe in having a positive thinking and mentality, seeing things from a different point and perspective in life. If you were meant to be striving and chasing after money to fulfill your daily need, why not chase it happily :) Well, is easy to say,  I'm learning to live it and chase it happily too :)

I've decided to start blogging on this special day.. I think I will start blogging and sharing my thoughts on all the nice food, places, people as long as is something nice. I think blogging also helps in keeping my memories alive, years after what happen a blog actually helps you recall and makes you laugh over silly things you did, and also makes you remember a lesson and never to repeat it again.

Cheers to a happy life =)
